Directions
Dosage of Rimadyl is dependant on your pet’s weight; the most usual amount is 2 mg. per pound, either at once or divided into separate installments. When Rimadyl is being used for postoperative pain, administer the first dose two hours prior to surgery. It can be given either with food or directly into your dog’s mouth.

Rimadyl can cause an upset stomach (loss of appetite, diarrhea, vomiting), increased thirst and urination, rashes and hives, listlessness, and lethargy or other behavioral symptoms. Like other NSAIDs, Rimadyl can also be associated with serious gastrointestinal, hepatic (liver-related), hematological (blood-related), dermatologic (skin-related) and renal (kidney-related) side effects. Pets should be monitored for such conditions while using Rimadyl. Additionally, consult with a veterinarian to discuss the possible adverse effects of drug-interactions, especially when Rimadyl is used in conjunction with other NSAIDs.
